An Evening of learning and Care
Free Workshop: Practical Tips for Caregivers.
The Dorothy and Peter Brown Adult Day Program will present learning sessions for caregivers of people living with dementia on Tuesday, Jan. 30 in West Bloomfield. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees will learn practical caregiver skills such as how to assist an older adult with self-care and in the bathroom, as well as gain insight into what it feels like to be the receiver of care. The program will be offered twice, from 5-6 p.m. or 6-7 p.m. and light refreshments will be served. So that caregivers may attend without worrying about leaving their loved one, complimentary respite care will be offered during each session, where dinner and programming will be provided. Please RSVP, as space is limited, by Jan. 23 to Bobbi Chess, (248) 661-6390 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. This event is sponsored by Jewish Senior Life, JVS and Senior Helpers, and will be held at the Brown Center, 6720 W. Maple Rd., West Bloomfield, 48322.
